Eligibility: On the basis of AIEEE – 2010 merit. The candidates must have obtained minimum 60% marks in 10+2 examination and 15% marks in AIEEE – 2010.
For B.E. Courses
The admission to the First Semester B.E. Courses will be open to a candidate, who
◦has qualified in the AIEEE-2010, conducted by the C.B.S.E., for admission to these courses.has passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with at least 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks in case of S.C./S.T./Physically Challenged), conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council in March/April 2010 and not earlier than March/April 2008.
For B. Arch. Course
The admission to the First Semester B. Arch. Course will be open to a candidate, who
◦has qualified in the All India Engineering/Pharmacy/Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE-2010), with Architecture Aptitude test conducted by the CBSE. has passed an examination at the end of the new 10+2 scheme of Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent with Mathematics and English as subjects of examinations at the 10+2 level (not earlier than March/April-2008) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate
◦has passed 3 year diploma in Architecture (10+3) (not earlier than April-2008) recognized by the Central/State Governments provided the candidate passed the Diploma examination with 50% marks in aggregate.

Note: Specimen of Backward Class Certificate and other details are available on website as well as on the website of UIET, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The counseling for the Backward Class category will be held on August 16, 2010 from 2.00 P.M. onwards in the auditorium of PEC University of Technology, Sector 12, Chandigarh. No separate letters for counseling will be sent. Also, candidates who have already applied to the Joint Admission Committee – 2010 for admission under other categories should apply on plain paper along with photocopies of the application and other documents submitted earlier. They need not deposit any fee now.
