Kozhikode station to be raised to international standards

NEW DELHI: After a two-day discussion, the railway budget was passed today. While replying to the discussion on the railway budget in the Lok Sabha, Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee said the Kozhikode railway station will be raised to international standard.

Though in the railway budget it was announced that 50 stations in the country will be uplifted to international standards, including Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode was not included. Minister of State for Railways E Ahamed and MPs from the state had demanded the inclusion of Kozhikode.
